Intro to Contemporary Belly Dance!
Time 6:15-7:45 (90 minutes)
Levels Absolute Beginners - Intermediate Instructors RAQS SERPENTINE Troupe (Leslie, Ellen and Kaori)
Each will dress in a different style of costuming and teach fundamentals connected to it’s performance and musical interpretation. Come have fun! Bring snacks and drinks to share if you want.
Cost $25 or $20 in advance
ADDITIONAL PERK Each dancer in attendance will receive a $5 off coupon good for classes or workshops after the parade and through fall 2007.

Levels Anyone interested.
Instructor: Leslie Rosen of Pyrosutra / VDP Staff Member
Learn some of the fundamentals of combining the undulations of the flame with the undulations of the body; Archetypal poses, movements combinations and perform a short choreography.
Cost $20 or $18 in advance

About Leslie Rosen
Leslie’s imagination was captured by belly dance in 1995 and she hasn’t been able to escape yet! As a massage therapist and yoga practitioner her classes are designed with your bodies health and vitality in mind. She creates a warm, fun, community environment that is a wonderful blend of both the silly and sacred. Her lifelong passion for the circus led her to fire performance in 2001. She was honored with the
opportunity to perform for the cast of Cirque du Soleil at the end of tour party for Vareki last summer. She has created many large scale fire performances for everyone from Bumbershoot to Burning man (and Delilah’s after parade parties!)

Pyrosutra. She has been producing the Pyramid Lounge a
free monthly belly dance show since March 2003.
