9/8 is much more than Karsilama! Discover the many ways to
dance to different 9/8 rhythms…with examples from the Balkans,
Greece, Turkey and Armenia. We will learn basic rhythm
notation, listen to many different music examples (a study CD
will be available) and dance different dances such as Dajcovo,
Karsilama, Zeybek, Roman, Tamzara and more. 9/8 will never
confound you again! This is an intensive workshop with 6 hours
planned each day for a total of 12 hours.
