I will be the feature instructor for April’s Goddess Squad

Najla

Najla’s fiery yet graceful style has made her a favorite
performer of Oriental Dance in the Seattle area and abroad. She
is known for her natural and complex Egyptian technique, unique
choreography, and playful attitude. She is also the Artistic
Director of Fleurs d’Egypte Dance Company,which received 1st
Runner Up at the International Belly DanceConvention in Las
Vegas in 2007. Her experience spans eight countries including
Egypt and Greece. In her over a dozen years of experience she
has studied intensively in Cairo, and performed extensively in
Paris and Athens. She was also selected to tour with the Belly

Najla will be teaching dynamic combinations to modern arabic and
sha’abimusic.  Students will focus on working as a team and
creating their own staging and transitions.  While a complete
choreography will not be taught, students will walk away with
all the material they need tocreate their own sha’abi troupe
choreography. This is not a technique class and all levels
are welcome.

The Yin and Yang of Belly Dance. Power, Precision…… Mesmerize them!

Mixed Level Fusion Belly Dance:  MONDAYS 7:30-9:00pm,
This energetic multi-level, class starts with 30 minutes of
intense dance conditioning, applying Yoga, Pilates, Ballet, and
belly dance exercises from the Suhaila Salimpour format.  Locks
and isolations will be drilled and dynamic choreographies
explored. 

Choreographies may include fusions of Tai chi, Flamenco, and
East Indian dance.

Fusion Belly Dance Fundamentals:  TUESDAYS 7:30-9:00pm

This class will move more slowly and combine yoga and wave-like
movement fundamentals of Belly Dance to energize and empower
every vertebrate in your spine, and every joint in your body.
We will link these movements into trance-like dance
combinations.  All levels welcome. This Yin, or softer class, is
