NWBD: Workshop with Mozel 5/3/08

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Hip Hop Bellydance Fusion with Mozel!

Saturday May 3, 2008
1:00pm to 3:00pm
Cost: $30.00 pre-paid or $35.00 at the door

As a dance form Hip-Hop is a fusion of African, Latin, Jazz,
pops, locks and 100% attitude! Bellydance is a Middle Eastern
art form that focuses on posture, core strength and performance.
Maybe you want to add a little Bellydance with your Hip-Hop? In
this workshop you will learn how to combine the attitude of Hip-
Hop with the confidence of Bellydance for one outstanding
routine you can take anywhere you like. Some dance experience is
required, either in Hip-Hop or Bellydance.

About Mozel.
Mozel grew up loving, listening and dancing to Hip-Hop music. As
a teen she organized an after school dance troupe that performed
at community dances held every month in the Vancouver/Portland
area. Her love of dance continued to grow when she moved to
Seattle and started studying African dance. She took classes in
Latin, Brazilian and Jazz along the way, but continues to stick
to her Hip-Hop roots. When she discovered Bellydance it became
obvious that this is what she was meant to do. Mozel studied
under Nabeela El Shalimar and Katia Sahar, and performs at
various venues around the Seattle area. Mozel combined her love
of Hip-Hop and Bellydance to create a unique style she is now
excited to share with others. Presently Mozel teaches Beginning
Bellydance with veil at the Highline YMCA.
